Prof. Dr. Sameh Abdel-Gawad

Dr. Sameh Abdel-Gawad is the founder & CEO of Misr Consult, an Egyptian Consultancy Company that was established in Egypt in 1986. He is also the General Manager and Partner of Marafek Consult in UAE.

Dr. Abdel-Gawad has over 45 years of technical and managerial experience in the fields of Engineering Design and Site Supervision in the implementation of infrastructure projects, which include potable water purification plants and networks, sewage treatment plants and networks, desalination plants, irrigation and drainage systems and networks, solid waste management systems as well as environmental studies and MEP for residential, commercial and touristic projects.

Dr. Abdel-Gawad graduated from Cairo University in 1974 holding a BA with honors in Civil Engineering. He also holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Windsor, Canada in 1983. In addition, he is the professor of Environmental Hydraulics at the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University since 1995.

Dr. Abdel-Gawad is a certified Consultant Engineer for all major Egyptian organizations for water and wastewater projects (NOPWASD, CAPWO, HCWW, NUCA, EEAA)
